Begin your journey in Peru and explore ancient Incan ruins with their ancient indigenous roots and languages. Continue your journey to Easter Island, Chile, and encounter natural path that allows an easy stopover (one full day) to the mysterious island of Easter Island where you can discover the extinct birdman cult that’s carved on the Moai, (Stonehenge-like statues that stare back from the sea’s edge). Traveling to Polynesia and stay in beachside hotels, dive or snorkel in the calm crystal blue lagoons surrounded by the sea’s wonders or watch fish swim around you. This itinerary is the perfect getaway for archeology or history buffs and/or photography lovers.

 

 
DAY 1                    WELCOME TO LIMA, PERU
Reception and transfer from Lima Airport to the hotel. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category.

DAY 2                    LIMA
Breakfast in the hotel. Enjoy your morning at leisure. In the afternoon, visit the modern part and the colonial part of the city of Lima "The city of the kings", starting with the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, where we will pass through a pre-Inca construction of about 1200 years old, the Huaca Huallamarca. Then will go to the Historical Center, where you will see the Plaza Mayor, which includes the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Municipality and the Cathedral. Stop at the chocolate and pisco museums to make a small tasting. Then visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, declared a cultural heritage of humanity and where the remains of our patron saints San Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima lie. Finally, visit the Museo Larco, where the insuperable private collection of Treasures of Ancient Peru and inspires its visitors to discover, understand and enjoy more than five thousand years of history of Old Peru through more than 45,000 pieces. DAY 3                    LIMA - ICA 
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Lima bus terminal and board a public bus towards Ica Region (4hrs approx.). Reception in Ica bus terminal and transfer your hotel. Afterwards, you are off to a local airport to board on a small aircraft for an over flight on Nasca Lines. Among the labyrinth of plain lines, trapezoids, triangles and other shapes, various animal figures and stylized plants can easily be seen from overhead.  Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. DAY 4                    ICA - LIMA        
Breakfast in the hotel. This morning you heads towards Paracas Bay, for a 2hr motorboat drive to Ballestas Islands. These beautiful islands are located in front of the Paracas National Reserve, the oldest marine reserve in Peru and the biggest natural sanctuary.  Also, thousands of migratory birds’ habitat with huge groups of sea lions and fur seals. During the excursion, it will be hard to miss the mysterious geoglyph embedded into the hillside, called “El Candelabro” (The Chandelier). There are many legends about origin and purposes, such as pirates returning for their treasure, or appearances of Peruvian Independence Army guided by General Don José de San Martin. At pre-scheduled time, transfer to Ica bus terminal to board on a public bus and back to Lima. Reception in Lima bus terminal and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. (B)

DAY 5                    LIMA - CUSCO
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Lima Airport. Flight to Cusco (not included in pricing). Upon arrival in Cusco Airport, the gateway to the Incan trail, reception and transfer to your hotel.  Rest of the morning at leisure to be familiarized to the high altitude acclimatization. In the afternoon, visit this amazing Imperial City. Located in a much-steeped angle, its rich history of the Empire and Spanish colonization, it is a living example of the mixed cultures. Unlike many countries that have lost touch with their indigenous roots, Cusco has many residents that still speak Quechua. Continue your visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, built directly over the ancient Inca palace, Koricancha, the main worship center of the Incan Sun God. Next stop is at the “Plaza de Armas”, where you can visit the Cathedral and the beautiful church of “La Compañía”. Tour continues to the Sacsayhuamán Fort with its imposing Incan military architecture, a building that dominates the city. Last stop is the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucará and Tambomachay to the northeast of Cusco. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. (B)

DAY 6                    CUSCO - PISAC
Breakfast in the hotel. Begin your full day towards Pisac Village in the Scared Valley of the Incas. En route, make a stop for a classic panoramic view of the Urubamba Valley, with crops dressing the mountains slops like carpet. Arrival to the colorful market of Pisac, where you will have free time to interact with the local artisans and purchase handmade souvenirs. Continuing to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. After lunch, you will visit Ollantaytambo, an attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets. In high parts one rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. (B, L)

DAY  7                   PISAC - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO                                          
Breakfast in the hotel. Be dazzled by the ancient Incan village, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, Machu Picchu. Whose name means “Ancient Mountain”; it is hard to ignore the beauty of these white-grey granite structures set against a backdrop of the lush deep-green forest surrounding it. Savor the spectacular scenery of the sacred Urubamba Valley as you travel by train to this mountainside palace, discovered by the Western world in 1911. On your arrival in “Aguas Calientes”, a railroad town established in 1901. You will have reception by one of our agents who will accompany you to the bus and 25min. ride to Machu Picchu. An unforgettable journey accompanied by one of our expert guides who will tell you stories of this enchanted, mysterious ancient palace. After a guided tour of the site, you will have time to explore on your own. The group return to Aguas Calientes at a pre-scheduled time. Lunch included. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. DAY 8                    CUSCO - LIMA - EASTER ISLAND                                                  
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Cusco Airport. Flight to Lima for a connection overnight flight to Easter Island. (not included in pricing). (B)

DAY 9                    LIMA - EASTER ISLAND - PAPEETE                             
Reception in Easter Island Airport and transfer to your hotel where you will have a Day Pass for hotel facilities in your hotel. Arrival in your hotel and enjoy your morning at leisure. In the afternoon, have an organized half-day tour to explore this tropical island.
Return to your hotel to pick your luggage and transfer to Easter Island Airport for an overnight flight to Papeete. (not included in pricing). 
 
DAY 10                  PAPEETE       
Reception in Papeete Airport with lei flowers and transfer to your hotel.
