DAY 01                  WELCOME TO LIMA                                                                        
Arrival and reception in Lima Airport and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy your morning at leisure. In the afternoon, visit the modern part and the colonial part of the city of Lima "The city of the kings", starting with the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, where we will pass through a pre-Inca construction of about 1200 years old, the Huaca Huallamarca. Then will go to the Historical Center, where you will see the Plaza Mayor, which includes the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Municipality and the Cathedral. Stop at the chocolate and pisco museums to make a small tasting. Then visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, declared a cultural heritage of humanity and where the remains of our patron saints San Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima lie. Finally, visit the Museo Larco, where the insuperable private collection of Treasures of Ancient Peru and inspires its visitors to discover, understand and enjoy more than five thousand years of history of Old Peru through more than 45,000 pieces.  Overnight 3-star hotel or similar category. DAY 02                  LIMA  - NASCA
Breakfast at the hotel. At the pre-scheduled time, transfer to the bus terminal and board a public bus to Ica (approx. 4hrs).  Upon arrival in Ica, travel to the hotel. Aterwards, transfer to the local airport to aboard on a small aircraft and enjoy a flight over the Nasca Lines, created over 2,000 years ago when the ancient Nazca systematically removed the red pebbles, revealing lines of the white soil below. Among the labyrinth of plain lines, trapezoids, triangles and other shapes, various animal figures and stylized plants can easily be seen from overhead. Finalizing the tour by returning to the hotel. Overnight in 3-star hotel or similar category. (B)

DAY 03                  NASCA - LIMA            
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning a transfer to the Paracas Bay, where a two-hour motorboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands will begin. These beautiful islands  are located in front of the Paracas National Reserve, the oldest marine reserve in Peru, and are the biggest natural sanctuary in our shores and are home to thousands of migratory birds, which share their habitat with huge groups of sea lions and fur seals. During the excursion, it will be hard to miss the mysterious geoglyph embedded into the hillside, called “El Candelabro” (The Chandelier). There are many legends about it’s origin and purpose, such as as a reference for pirates to return to their treasure as well as a sign for where the Peruvian Independence Army, guided by General Don José de San Martin, was to disembark. At the pre-scheduled time, aboard on a public bus back to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, be greeted at the bus terminal and transferred to the hotel. Overnight in 3-star hotel or similar category. (B)
 
DAY 04                  LIMA - CUSCO
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to Lima Airport. Flight to Cusco (not included in pricing). Upon arrival in Cusco Airport, the gateway to the Incan trail, reception and transfer to your hotel.  Rest of the morning at leisure to be familiarized to the high altitude acclimatization. In the afternoon, visit this amazing Imperial City. Located in a much-steeped angle, its rich history of the Empire and Spanish colonization, it is a living example of the mixed cultures. Unlike many countries that have lost touch with their indigenous roots, Cusco has many residents that still speak Quechua. Continue your visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, built directly over the ancient Inca palace, Koricancha, the main worship center of the Incan Sun God. Next stop is at the “Plaza de Armas”, where you can visit the Cathedral and the beautiful church of “La Compañía”. Tour continues to the Sacsayhuamán Fort with its imposing Incan military architecture, a building that dominates the city. Last stop is the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucará and Tambomachay to the northeast of Cusco. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. (B)

DAY 05                  CUSCO - PISAC
Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your full day towards Pisac Village in the Scared Valley of the Incas. En route, make a stop for a classic panoramic view of the Urubamba Valley, with crops dressing the mountains slops like carpet. Arrival to the colorful market of Pisac, where you will have free time to interact with the local artisans and purchase handmade souvenirs. Continuing to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. After lunch, you will visit Ollantaytambo, an attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets. In high parts one rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult. Overnight in 3-star Hotel or similar category. (B, L)

DAY  06                 MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO                                              
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will visit one of worlds’ wonders, Machu Picchu. Today’s excursion is by train, allowing for amazing views overlooking the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, a railroad town established in 1901, our representatives will assist you to board on 25-minute motor coach ride to “The Lost City of the Incas," which was re-discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. A professional tour guide will share the rich history of this Incan marvelous citadel and see the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds. It is believed that the location for this palace of which was chosen only after reference to Incan sacred geometry and astronomy. Once the guided tour ends, you will have free time to explore the zone on your own, relax and meditate. Lunch included. In the afternoon, you will board the train that takes you back down the hill to Cusco. Upon our arrival, we will be met at the station and taken back to your hotel, so you can relax a bit before enjoying Cusco’s lively nightlife. Overnight in Cusco in a 3-star hotel. (B,L)

DAY 07             CUSCO - PUNO 
Breakfast at the hotel. You’ll be transferred to the bus station to take a regular tourist bus to Puno where you then get to sit back and cross the interesting highland plateaus. En route you’ll visit some archaeological sites such as the temple walls of Raqchi and the native fortifications of Pukara. Upon arrival, transfer to Puno to your hotel. Overnight at local hotel. DAY 08             PUNO - TAQUILE ISLAND & UROS ISLANDS
Breakfast at the hotel. Your day begins early as you head out of the city towards Taquile Island, about 35 kilometers away and 3950 meters above sea level. This island, famous for its hospitality, is located on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. The islanders still retain their cultures, traditions and beliefs dating back to Pre-Incan times. Taquileños run their society based on community collectivism and on the Inca moral codeama sua, ama llulla, ama qhilla, (Quechua for "Do not steal or lie or be lazy.") The colorful fine textiles arts produced and still worn here have been declared by UNESCO as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The men do all the knitting exclusively. The women produce the yarn and weave.  While still on the island, you get to visit the community of Huayllano, whose community will share with you their art, handicrafts and farming activities. After which you will enjoy a box lunch. Then it’s time to set sail and go over to the famous Uros Islands, a set of man-woven floating islands in the middle of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve.  Visit to “Las Islas Flotantes de los Uros” (the Floating Islands of Uros). These islands, made of the local totora reed, are home of the Uros people, descendants of the first altiplano inhabitants. The islands are an important center of commerce for the local people, who still use handmade rafts for transportation. At the end of the trip you will be taken back to your hotel. DAY 09      PUNO - JULIACA -  LIMA
Breakfast at the hotel.  You will be transferred from the hotel to the Juliaca Airport. Flight to Lima (flight not included in pricing). Upon arrival in Lima Airport, connection with your international flight to next destination (flight not included in pricing) (B)
