We invite you to cycle and discover the Lake & Volcano District of Chile with us. Explore this fascinating part of the country dominated by astonishing National Parks, clear-water Lakes, amazing live Volcanoes and one of the best thermal waters in the world. Our trip includes local guides, amazing local cuisine, our world known wines and handpick lodges and inns. This tour is orientated to more advanced cyclists

Day 01 Welcome to Santiago (SCL)
Our staff will meet you at Santiago Airport and take you to your Hotel in the capital´s city center. We’ll have time to relax or a city tour . Lodging at Plaza del Bosque 4-star Hotel or similar.
Day 02 Santiago (SCL) - Temuco (ZCO) - Malalcahuello (First ride: warm up ride)
Transfer to Santiago´s airport. Flight to Temuco ( Not included in the Price)
Our staff will meet you at Temuco´s Airport and transfer you to Malalcahuello, where an incredible landscape awaits you. Your hotel is located in the shoulders of Lonquimay Volcano, surrounded by millenarian Araucarias trees. Your guides will assist you to assemble/fit your bike, and we’ll enjoy a great warm up ride.  In the evening, we'll have a briefing session before your group welcome dinner.

Day 03  Sierra Nevada - Liucura - Pino Hachado (Second ride)
Today and followed by a filling breakfast, the minibuses will take us to the Sierra Nevada Range, (18 km or 11 miles), and through the tunnel Las Raíces, the longest tunnel in Chile (4,5 km or 2,8 miles). Here we’ll set off on our first ride, traveling alongside the Lonquimay River by an almost flat valley. This 32-mile section features one of the smoothest roads. We’ll bike through the territories of different Pewenches communities, and ascend the international path Pino Hachado until reaching Customs???. The road is very rolly with flat sections and a few small climbs and fun down hills rides. After this pleasant ride, the challenge begins, a 22-km climb awaits us to take us to the peak altitude of 1.884 meters, (6.181 feet above sea level). From the top you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Andes. In the small village of Liucura, we’ll arrive at the minibus meeting point and be driven back to Hotel.

Day 04   Corralco - Lautaro (Third ride)
We start today with a ride down the valley from Corralco.  We’ll ride alongside the Cautín River, the valley of which opens with each meter of descent into the foothills of the mountain range, until we arrive into the plain of Curacautín. As we leave town, we start by climbing a decent-sized hill with a beautiful view on the to the volcanoes Llaima, Lonquimay and Tolhuaca. Then, get ready for the fantastically fun descent into an extensive green valley, passing through curvy hills of cultivated fields, until we end the ride in Lautaro. Here, we met our vans were begin the drive to Temuco, (30 min drive), the capital of the Araucania region.

Day 05  Pitrufquén - Villarrica - Crater Brewery (Fourth Ride)
We’ll begin in the morning by traveling 30km, (18.6 miles), in our private minibuses until we arrive at the town, Pitrufquén’s main plaza. Most of the agricultural production located near this rural town, centers around, grains, blueberries, hazelnuts and cattle. From here we'll set off and head to the town of Villarrica, following a small country road that follows the Toltén and Pedregoso Rivers. This gives us beautiful views of the Araucanía region’s central valley and its agricultural production.
As soon as we reach the beautiful town of Villarrica, we can enjoy the stunning views of the Villarrica volcano from the same-named lake’s shores. Then we continue riding for another 10kms to end our ride in a small local brewery, "Crater," named in honor of the Villarrica volcano. Here we’ll enjoy some of the great local beers, as a reward of our effort. Yes, we deserve it!
After this, we’ll take a 30-minute van ride to the vacation town of Pucón, the main adventure tourism destination in the Lake & Volcano District. This evening we´ll try the local cuisine in one of the many great restaurants that the town offers.

Day 06  Pucón - Puesco - Huife Hot Springs (Fifth ride)
We’ll cycle from our hotel in Pucón to Curarrehue, the road today is generally flat with a few rolling hills, just enough to get your legs going. However, after we arrive to Curarrehue, we climb a 15km section on new asphalt, (the International road to Argentina), where we’ll enjoy a lovely lunch right next to a stream at the end of the pavement.
Today’s ride will give us wonderful views of Lanin Volcano and with a little good luck, we will see smoke coming out of the active Villarrica volcano. After relaxing and maybe refreshing ourselves at the Andes stream, we’ll arrive back in town after enjoying the same 15km of a thrilling downhill ride. Then, we’ll continue on the same road, but we will direct ourselves to Huife, famous for its hot springs. After cycling to Huife, we will visit the Hot Spring Resort and enjoy a soothing soak in a hot mineral bath. Later at the evening, we’ll enjoy an early dinner at the hot springs resort restaurant and finish our night with a short ride in the vans back to our hotel in Pucón.

Day 07  Villarrica - Panguipulli - Choshuenco (Sixth ride)
Each day brings new beauty on this tour, and today is no exception.  We will ride the shores of two beautiful lakes, Calafquén and Panguipulli and cycle three-quarters of the way around Villarrica, a majestic, snow-capped active volcano. We’ll ride through the lakeside town of Licanray on roads bordered by green prairies and native forests.  From the village of Lican Ray, we have 21 miles of green meadows with native forests and the Calafquén Lake on your left. This road is as fun as a roller coaster and quiet, as there is almost no vehicle traffic. At one point we should be able to see five volcanoes at the same. After a fun descent toward the town and Lake of Panguipulli, (“Land of Lions”), we’ll have a picnic lunch by Lake Panguipulli’s beach. From here we can continue riding another 15 miles alongside Lake Panguipulli until the end of the paved road at Choshuenco. From this point we will be driven 30 minutes to the Natural Reserve Huilo Huilo, where we’ll have dinner and stay overnight at the incredible Hotel Bosque Encantado. cat. .B&B  or similar. Day 08  North & West side of Llanquihue Lake (Seventh ride) 
After breakfast, we’ll drive from Huilo Huilo until we arrive to the town of Osorno, (180km). Once there, we will ride through rolling hills and beautiful beaches along Lake Llanquihue, as always we’ll be on the lookout for wildlife and beautiful views of the 4 volcanoes: Osorno, Puntiagudo, Casablanca and Puyehue. Today’s is a picture-perfect postcard ride, with the lake on one side, green pastures and fields on the other with the snow-capped Andes in the distance. The road today consists of small hills and long, flat stretches most of the day. Upon arrival to Llanquihue, we’ll be driven 20 minutes to Puerto Varas and stay overnight at hotel in Puerto Varas.
Once we arrive to the hotel, you’ll have time enjoy your welcome drink and relax.  We’ll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant that’s within walking distance from town.

Day 09  South & East side of Llanquihue Lake (Eighth ride)  
In the morning, our vans will take us to the shores of beautiful Lake Llanquihue, where we will begin our approach the perfectly-conical Volcano Osorno. As we cycle along the lake, the snow-capped volcano appears to rise directly out of the lake, and we will have wonderful views of it during much of the day. We’ll pass through the village of Ensenada, then on to the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. Here, we’ll really challenge ourselves and bike up the climb to Volcan Osorno, one of the steepest climbs in S. America, (7.3miles/3750ft).

When we recover our breath, and after enjoying the magnificent views of the Cochamó Valley, Lake Llanquihue and the volcano Calbuco, we'll carefully descend the steep road down Osorno Volcano and ride towards to Las Cascadas village, following the amazing road within the national park. That night, we’ll be driven in vans for a our farewell dinner in the charming German-style city of Puerto Varas.

Day 10  Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt - Santiago
Sadly, it’s time to say good-bye to the beautiful Lake & Volcano District of Chile.  After breakfast, we’ll be driven in vans to Puerto Montt Airport to catch your flight back to Santiago. ( Flight to Santiago not included in the Price)
You’ll be welcomed at Santiago´s airport and transferred to the hotel. Last night dinner.
