Discover the ancient mysteries of kings lost in the archaeological Incan ruins, surround yourself with the surreal sights of the northern Atacama desert landscapes and salt flats, all from the rustic lodgings you’ll find in the Desert Oasis of San Pedro de Atacama, nestled in the Andes plains. This trip will take you to experiece a great four wheel drive adventure exploring the highlights of Bolivia and of course The Salar de Uyuni.


Day 1              YOUR COUNTRY- SANTIAGO, CHILE

Day 2              WELCOME TO SANTIAGO                                                           
Morning pick-up and transfer from Santiago Airport to your hotel. Tour the city, starting in the Barrio (neighborhood) of El Golf, where you can see examples of the city’s avant-garde architecture. After this, visit the Barrio Cívico, (downtown), which contains the historic government buildings, like the presidential La Moneda and cultural centers such as the Pre-Columbian Museum. From here, take a walk through the main streets of the city center towards the main square, Plaza de Armas, where you can admire the majestic colonial buildings that surround the square: the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Santiago’s City Hall, and various museums.  We then take you to Barrio Bella Vista, famous for its lively nightlife. Return and overnight at a 5-star Hotel.

Day 3              SANTIAGO - SAN PEDRO ATACAMA - MOON VALLEY               
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from your Hotel to the Airport. Flight to Calama (not included in the price). Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up from the airport and transferred on SIB basis to the small mystical desert pueblo of San Pedro de Atacama, considered the archaeological capital of Chile with sites dating back 3,000 years. Its surrounding landscapes are nothing less than surreal. After checking into your hotel and a relaxing lunch, you’ll visit the desolate Valle de la Muerte (Death Valley) home to the Three Marias, rock formations naturally wind-shaped that almost appear to have been hand-carved. Then onto the other-worldly, Valle de la Luna, (Valley of the Moon), to arrive at dusk, just in time for the spectacular sunset from atop Duna Mayor, a gigantic, perfectly-formed dune that allows for a perfect view of the desert sunset. Return to San Pedro. Overnight in Hotel 3 stars category.
Day 4              SAN PEDRO ATACAMA - LAGUNAS ALTIPLANICAS                  
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a full day to wander across the Atacama Salt Flats, the largest salt flat in Chile, over 3,000 square kilometers of pure salt where the dry air is so clear that it is possible to see over 70 km away, where the salt ends. The lake under this flat salty crust is an important source of lithium, a mineral salt used in high tech industries. Visit the magnificent mirror-like lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques, and stop off at the village of Socaire. Our picnic today is set against the breath-taking backdrop of these turquoise lakes surrounded by the whitest of salt sands, and flows out into yellow shocks of grass emerging from between black and red rocks scattered over the landscape. Before we return to San Pedro for the evening, we’ll stop off to walk around the quaint village of Toconao, a desert oasis that supplies enough water to allow the cultivation of fruit. Return to San Pedro de Atacama. Overnight in Hotel 3 stars category. (B, L)
Day 5              GEYSER TATIO - SAN PEDRO                                                         
Today is a very early morning departure, (4:30am approx), for a half-day trip to see the Tatio Geysers, (4321m altitude). The geysers’ natural clocks are set to steam and bubble up for your breakfast viewing pleasure, which you’ll enjoy while watching the boiling pools of water and steam.  After breakfast, we then head to Machuca, a typical pueblo typical of the Atacama peoples. At midday, we return to San Pedro where you can enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Hotel 3 stars category. (BB)
Day 6              SAN PEDRO - LAGUNA COLORADA - VILLAMAR                        
Breakfast at the hotel. A private transfer will pick you up from your Hotel in the morning, and we will head towards Bolivia, crossing at Hito Cajón. After passing through Bolivian customs, we continue to the Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde, and the truly Dantesque landscapes of Sol de Mañana Geysers (4,850m), where pools of mud bubble up and ominous steam rises from the craggy depths.
Along our way, we arrive at the marvelous Colorada Lagoon (4,278m) wherethe lake is an intense red, due to the algae and plankton living in the waters. Here there is a stunning view of the massive flocks of flamingos. The lake is home to all three of the species of flamingo present in Latin America: the Chilean, James and Andean flamingos.  We arrive to Villamar in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel, or in a mountain lod ge in the area. (B, L, D)
Day 7              VILLAMAR - SAN CRISTOBAL - UYUNI                                        
After breakfast at your hotel, we will take the morning to visits some traditional villages. We’ll arrive to the edge of the Bolivian salt flats, to the town of Uyuni, in the afternoon and take a quick tour around town. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel. (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will This morning begins with learning how salt is extracted from the flats with a village of Colchani. Then we have the remainder of the day to explore the natural marvels of the Uyuni salt flats. These endless salt flats, (3,650m altitude), cover more than 12,000 km². Visit the island of Incahuasi, located in the heart of the salt flats and famous for its enormous cacti. The view of this luminous white sea is truly an unforgettable experience. We end the day in San Pedro de Quemez in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 9              SAN PEDRO DE QUEMEZ - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA                 
Early morning departure to visit the majestic, sometimes smoking, Ollgüe Volcano. Then we visit some lagoons located in the high Bolivian plateau such as Hedionda, Cáñapa, Árbol de piedra to capture the landscape in photos. We will arrive at the border with Chile (Hito Cajon) around 17.30 hrs. We take our Private transfer to San Pedro de Atacama after passing through Chilean customs. Overnight in Hotel 3 stars category. Day 10            SAN PEDRO - CALAMA - SANTIAGO                                         
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll transfer you to Calama’s Airport for your flight to Santiago, (not included in the quotation). Private transfer from Airport to the Hotel. Overnight in Hotel 3 stars category. (B)
Day 11        SANTIAGO YOUR HOME COUNTRY                                        
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from Hotel to Airport. Flight back to your home country, (not included in the quotation).
